Gregg's cousin is trumpeter Raphe Malik, who played with Cecil Taylor and Glenn Spearman as well as Sabir Mateen.
Gregg enjoyed living near New York City sitting in with Harry Allen, Joel Forbes, Chuck Riggs and Joe Cohn at the Zuni Bar near Times Square.
Gregg has recently moved to Weymouth, Nova Scotia. Gregg is pursuing his dream of opening up a Musical Arts Society with WJAZ as a community co-op jazz radio station.
